Rajasthan Packages - Golden Triangle Tour

Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Delhi (05 Days 04 Nights)
The package consists of a tour of the majestic city of Delhi, the abode of Taj and the pink city of Jaipur.

Day 01
Meet and greet at Delhi airport or railway station and proceed to hotel. Afternoon is free for taking rest and other independent activities.

Day 02 / Delhi
After breakfast, proceed for a tour of Old Delhi, the administrative capital of Mughal dynasty, founded by Emperor Shajahan in 1639. First stop is the world famous Red Fort, former residence of the royalty, standing regal along the banks of the Yamuna river. Take a stroll along ChandniChowk, one of India’s oldest and busiest whole sale market with its meandering lanes, tiny streets and bustling bazaars. Visit Raj Ghat, the resting place of Mahatma Gandhi on the banks of Yamuna and Juma Masjid, the largest mosque in India.

Visit New Delhi, the city rated by National Geographic as one of the ‘Ultimate cities of a lifetime to visit and explore’! The city with its  tree canopied avenues, gardens and impressive mansions is worth visiting. Also, visit Emperor Humayun’s Tomb which also encompasses the tombs of many other Mughal kings. The tomb is an excellent example of Mughal architecture with its mesmerizing Persian style gardens. Next stop of the day is QutabMinar, the tallest minaret in India, an icon of Indo-Islamic architecture constructed using red sand stone and marble. Drive along Rajpath, the ceremonical avenue path the India Gate and Parliament House. Last stop is the enchanting Bahai or the Lotus temple, built in the shape of a lotus. Back to the hotel and overnight stay there.

Day 03
After breakfast, check out and drive to Agra which is a distance of 4-5hrs. Enroute visit Akbar Sikandra, tomb of Akbar, another masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Later continue drive to Agra. On arrival, check in and evening is free for independent activities.

Day 04 (Note :TajMahal is closed on every Friday)
After breakfast, proceed to TajMahal, the world renowned symbol of love. Next stop is the Pearl Mosque, which shines true to its name. It is believed that Emperor Shahjahan built the mosque for royal family members. Now on toItmad-ud-Daula's Tomb, which is built on the line of TajMahal with white marble. The tomb stands on a huge garden with numerous water courses and walk ways. The walls of the tomb are studded with precious stones, which is a site to behold. Will wind up with a visit to the souvenir market of Agra! Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05
After breakfast, advance to Jaipur, which is 5-6hrs away from Agra. Jaipur, referred to as the pink city is the capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Jaipur is fringed with monuments and palaces and so the richness and imperial quality of the place can be felt as soon as you set foot. Enroute visit FatehpurSikri, built by Emperor Akbar and once the capital of Mughal emperors. Now deserted city is a beautiful blend of Indian, Persian and Islamic architecture. Proceed to hotel and overnight stay there

Day 06
After breakfast, on to Amber Fort, which is 11 km from Jaipur and standing aloft on a lush green hill. Overlooking the Maotalake is the fort with its enormous fortifications, sequence of gates and cobbled pathways. The palace was home to Rajput Maharajas and their families. The opulence and pomp of the royals can be seen in the interiors of the palace and the gorgeous wall paintings. On to the hotel or a city restaurant of your choice for lunch.

Afternoon, the first stop is the City Palace Museum which was once the abode of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Most part of the complex is still used for royal residence and the palace is an interesting merger of Indian, Rajput, Mughal and European styles of architecture. The museum houses a wide array of royal paraphernalia including robes, carpets, weapons and paintings. Next visit JantarMantar, an interesting assemblage of architectural astronomical instruments built by the King in the 1700’s. Last stop of the day is the entrancing pyramid modeled HawaMahal, built of red and pink sandstone flaunting more than five storeys and 950 windows in the shape of a honey comb for the royal ladies to see the world without being seen. The structure is a striking fusion of Hindu Rajput style and Islamic Mughal architecture.  Back to the hotel and overnight stay there.

Day 07
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Delhi and on to the airport or railway station, as per customer requirement.
